💡 Good to know
- Install on Wi-Fi before you fly — most plans only start when you arrive at your destination.
- After landing: turn the eSIM on and enable Data Roaming for it (this uses your plan, not expensive roaming).
- An eSIM can only be installed once — don't delete it from your phone.

Have you added your GotoeSIM to your phone?+
After purchase, install the eSIM using one of the methods above. You can check it anytime: iPhone → Settings → Cellular; Android → Settings → Network & internet → SIMs. Your plan appears there once installed.
Have you selected the eSIM as your data source?+
When you arrive, set the GotoeSIM plan as your mobile-data line: iPhone → Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → choose the eSIM; Android → Settings → SIMs → tap the eSIM → set as Mobile data.
Have you enabled data roaming for the eSIM?+
Yes — you must enable Data Roaming on the eSIM line (not your home SIM). This uses your prepaid GotoeSIM data, not your home carrier, so there are no surprise charges.
When should I install it?+
Install at home on Wi-Fi before your trip. Most plans activate automatically the first time you connect at your destination — so installing early costs you nothing.
I can't connect to the internet — what should I do?+
