I'm traveling to the USA for 10 days and will be using my phone for maps, messaging, and some social media. I might also stream a little music and check email. How much data should I get?

For 10 days of typical use (maps, messaging, social media, light music streaming), we recommend 5-10 GB. If you plan to stream video or work remotely, consider 15-20 GB. You can always top up in the app if you run out.

I used about 8 GB over 10 days with heavy Google Maps and Spotify, plus some Instagram. I'd get 10 GB to be safe.

If you're mostly on Wi-Fi at hotels, 5 GB is plenty. But if you're relying on data for navigation all day, go for 10 GB.

I streamed a few YouTube videos and used 15 GB in 10 days. So it depends on video. For just maps and messaging, 3-5 GB worked for my wife.

Remember that data usage can vary: streaming music uses about 50 MB per hour, while video can use up to 1 GB per hour. Our plans start at 3 GB, and you can monitor usage in the app.

I got 10 GB for 10 days and had 2 GB left. I used maps, WhatsApp, and checked email. No video.

Download offline maps before you go! That saved me a lot of data. I only used 2 GB in 10 days by doing that and sticking to Wi-Fi for updates.

I'd recommend 10 GB. It's better to have extra than run out. Top-ups are easy though if you need more.
