When does the validity of my Sri Lanka plan start?

I'm flying to Colombo next week and I'm not sure when the 30 days of my Sri Lanka plan actually starts. Does it activate the moment I install it, or only when I connect to a network in Sri Lanka? I want to avoid wasting days before I even land.

The validity period begins when the eSIM first connects to a network in Sri Lanka, not when you install it. So you can install it at home and it won't start counting until you arrive and your phone picks up a local signal.
