If I buy the the Philippines eSIM a few days early, does the clock start straight away?

For most plans the validity starts when you first connect to a network in the Philippines, not at purchase — so buying a few days early is totally fine. A few specific plans start on activation; the exact rule is shown on the plan page before you buy.
