If I switch data to the eSIM in Taiwan, does WhatsApp still work on my normal number?
Will my WhatsApp keep working in Taiwan with an eSIM?

Yes! The eSIM only carries data. Your normal SIM stays active, so WhatsApp, iMessage, calls and texts all keep working on your usual number while you use the eSIM for data in Taiwan. Nothing to re-register.
